Happy Financial Literacy Month 2022

What is Financial Literacy Month?

Financial Literacy Month is a nationwide, collaborative endeavor marked by a variety of activities and events across the country and throughout the month.

Financial Literacy Month Campaign is popular in the United States, Canada and other parts of the world. The Improving Financial Awareness and Financial Literacy Movement in Ghana was launched in March, 2021 and we had our first Financial Literacy Month Campaign in April, 2021.

How did it start?

Financial Literacy Month was pioneered in Ghana by Center for Financial Literacy Education Africa, The Financial Awareness Foundation and The International Improving Financial Awareness and Financial Literacy Association at University of Ghana Business School through The Improving Financial Awareness and Financial Literacy Movement which started a decade ago in the United States by The Financial Awareness Foundation. The Movement has two main campaign venues;

April being known as Financial Literacy Month Campaign and six months later, October being known as Estate and Gift Planning Awareness Month Campaign.

Today, organizations across the country conduct events and initiatives throughout the month of April in support of The Improving Financial Awareness and Financial Literacy Movement in Ghana and April as Financial Literacy Month Campaign.
