My Biography

Valentino, is a lifelong advocate for improving the public’s and professional’s
financial awareness and their financial literacy.

 
He began pioneering the financial planning industry in the US in the mid 1970’s,
and helped establish the ‘fee-only’ financial planning profession while serving as a
principal within several Greater San Francisco Bay Area CPA firms, and private
practices.

 
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Accounting with a
minor in Economics from the University of San Francisco (USF). He is very early past Certified Financial
Planner (CFP®) (1978-2019), retired Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®), Registered Investment Advisor
and Money Manage, Financial Insurance Agent, Realtor, author, syndicated columnist, and public
speaker.

 
Over a decade ago, Valentino helped establish The Improving Financial Awareness & Financial
Literacy Movement in the US, to help significantly improve financial awareness while ending the
financial illiteracy epidemic. The goal of The Movement is to touch & encourage everyone twice a year to
get & keep their financial house in order with current financial, estate & gift plans, while serving as a
catalyst for must needed social changes. It has expanded into 5 continents over a dozen countries. TFAF
believes in sharing the essential principles to smart money management – the foundation to personal
finance knowledge along with other key life skills not commonly taught – to empower people to:
• Make wiser informed everyday money decisions
• Live a quality life without outliving their wealth
• Work efficiently with financial professionals & product providers to get the best results from their time and
money
• Pass on values, knowledge & assets to future generations to make their lives & this world a better place,
ending inherited poverty
• Have the highest probability to reach & maintain family dreams while living out a financially successful life.

 
On the personal side, Valentino lives in the beautiful Sonoma County, California wine country, just north
of San Francisco, with his wife of over 50 years and 2 daughters and a grandson He enjoys golf, tennis,
chess, and culinary activities.
